A Glass Too Much

"Waitress!" my colleague, Sally, called out from our table right in front of the bar. "Can you give her a shot glass?" she asked while pointing at me. I looked back at her with a question mark and asked "What are you doing?" With the waitress walking away and coming back with the shot glass sweetened with the words "Here you go." Sally smirks at me without saying anything until she poured Monkey Shoulder into the shot glass. She handed me the shot glass with her own Monkey Shoulder shot and said "Mabel, you need to get out more, increase your tolerance and live your life as a 22 year old should. Now cheers." At the end of her sentence, she clinked her shot glass with mine and downed the alcohol. Out of politeness, I did too and one too many for the bonding session with the rest of the department.

By the time we left, I downed 5 shot glasses and was starting to slur my words. Sally's boyfriend dropped me home first before sending his girlfriend home. I reached my home and dropped myself into the bed without taking off my make up because I was just too tired to do anything. The alcohol had the better part of me this time.

In the middle of the night, I heard 2 knocks and pretended that I didn't hear anything. Right after that, I heard the shuffling footsteps from my neighbor upstairs and assumed that they are probably doing their nightly routine walking around again. I kept my eyes closed and ignored everything. Suddenly, I felt someone touching my face. That was when I realized I was sleeping with my neck slanted. I felt that they were trying to readjust my head so I can breathe easily to no avail. I kept pretending to be a sleeping like a log. Then I heard the chair in my room being pulled and someone sat on it. I could feel that they were very close to me and they were telling me something that sounded like gibberish mumbling. Words that I do not understand at all and a language I never heard of. The alcohol kicked in again and I fell back into deep slumber. In my second dream, I was talking to a group of friends and telling them about the situation that happened to me and no one believed in me at all. In fact, they didn't seem like they were listening, let alone interested.

Travelling soon?

Have you ever questioned yourself where to go and how to get there? Realistically I would say it depends on the type of vacation you are going for and how long are you going to be in the country, city or area. What type of scenery would you want to wake up with and where are the places you want to go. Do you have a bucket list and specific attractions to visit? You could leave a comment down below on what type of vacation, where and how much you are willing to spend for the trip; or you could send me an email for privacy concerns and we can converse from there! I'm doing this because I love planning and visiting places.
